Systems Indicator Monitor/Hour Meter
Yourtractor is equippedwith a SystemsIndicator
Monitoras shownin Figure5. The monitorrecordsthe
accumulatedhours of tractor operation, anddisplays
the informationon the LCDhour meterdisplay(tenths
of an hour- right most digit). The monitoralso hasfour
indicatorlightsthat showthe statusof variousfunctions
of the tractor.

The system indicatormonitor features areas follows:
LCDHourMeterDisplay
The hour meterdisplay is activatedwhen the key
switch is turned to either the "NORMALMOWING"or
the "REVERSECAUTIONMODE"switch positions.
When the keyswitch is turned to an on position, the
battery indicator light briefly illuminatesand the battery
voltage is briefly displayed. The display then changes
to the accumulatedhours.
NOTE: A record of the actual hoursof operation
should be kept to assuremaintenanceproceduresare
completed accordingto the schedule in this manual.
The IndicatorMonitorwill also remindthe operatorof
maintenanceintervalsfor changingthe engineoil. The
LCDwill alternatelyflashthe recordedhours,"CHG"and
"OIL"for five minutes,afterevery50 hoursof recorded
operationelapse.The maintenanceintervallasts for
two hours(from50-52, 100-102,150-152,etc.).The
LCDwill flashas describedfor five minuteseverytime
the tractor'sengine is started duringthis maintenance
interval. Followthe oil changeintervalsprovidedin the
enginemanualthisthe Maintainingyour Tractorsection
of this Manual.
Battery Indicator Light
Illuminateswhen theignitionswitchit turnedtoan ON
positionandthe engineis not started.
Illuminatesto indicatethebatteryvoltagehasdropped
below11.5(+0.5/-1.0)DCvolts(the batteryvoltageis also
displayedonthe hourmeter).Ifthisindicatoranddisplay
comeon duringoperation,checkthe batteryandcharging
systemfor possiblecausesand/or contactyourCub
Cadetdealer.
Oil PressureIndicatorLight
Thiswarninglampindicateslowengineoil pressure.If
thisindicatorilluminates,stopthe tractorimmediately
andcheckthe engineoil level.Ifthe oil levelis withinthe
operatingrange,butthe light remainson, contactyour
CubCadetdealer.NOTE:Theoilpressureindicatormay
illuminatewhenthe keyswitchis turnedtoanonposition,
but shouldtumoff whenthe engineis started.
PTO EngagedIndicator Light
Thisindicatorilluminateswhenthekeyswitchis turned
to the "START"positionwhilethe PTOswitchis inthe
"ENGAGED"position.Checkthisindicatorif the engine
will notcrankwiththe keyswitchinthe "START"position.
Movethe PTOswitchto the "DISENGAGED"position.
Brake EngagedIndicator
Thisindicatorilluminateswhenthekeyswitchis turned
to the "START"positionandthe brakepedalis notfully
depressed.Checkthisindicatorif the enginewill not
crankwiththe keyswitchin the "START"position.If
necessary,fullydepressthe brakepedal...
Seat Adjustment Lever
Theseatadjustmentleveris onthe left sideof the seat.
Usethisleverto adjustthe seatforwardor rearwardto a
comfortableoperatingposition.Seethe MakingAdjust-
mentssectionlaterinthis manualfor instructions.
Deck Lift Lever
Thedecklift leveris locatedin the rightfenderandis
usedto changethecuttingheightof the mowerdeck.The
cuttingheightsrangefrom 1-1/2"to 4"for the 46" mower
deckand1-1/2"to 3-1/2"forthe50" mowerdeck. Each
of the sixindexnotchesrepresentan approximately1/2"
adjustmenttothe deck height.To use,graspthe lift lever
handleandpullslightlyupward(rearward)whilepivoting
the leverinwardandout of its indexnotch.Movethe lift
leveras necessaryto placein the notchbestsuitedfor
yourapplication.
Afterchangingthecuttingheightof the deck,you must
checkthe positionof the deckfrontgaugewheelsand
rearrollers.Theyshouldbeapproximately1/2-inchabove
the groundwhenthe tractoris on a smooth,flat surface
suchas adriveway.Referto "AdjustingDeckGauge
WheelsandRollers"inthe MakingAdjustmentssection
laterin thismanual
Cup Holder
Thetractor'scupholderis locatedonthe fenderto the left
of the seat.
Fuel Fill Cap and Fuel Level Window
Thefuel fill cap is locatedin thecenterof the rearfender.
Pivotthe seatforwardto fullyaccessthe fuelfill cap and
fill the fueltank.
Turnthe fill capapproximately1/4turn andpullupwardto
remove.Pushthe cap downwardonthe fueltankfill neck
andturn 1/4turn clockwisetotighten.
Thelevelof fuelin thefuel tankcan beviewedthrough
the fuellevelwindowin the rearhitchplate.
