Throttle Control Lever
The throttlecontrollevercontrols
the speedof the engine,When
set ina givenposition,the throttle
will maintaina uniformengine
speed,
IMPORTANT:Whenoperating
the tractorwiththe cuttingdeck
engaged,throttlecontrollever
mustalwaysbein the FAST
(rabbit)position.
Choke Control
The chokecontrolknob is located
on the lowerleft sideof thedash
panelandis activatedbypulling
Fast
Position
Slow
Position
outward,Activatingthe chokecontrolclosesthe choke
plateon the carburetorandaids in startingthe engine,
Brake Pedal
The brakepedalis locatedat the frontof the right running
boardandis usedfor quickstops,or settingthe parking
brake,Thispedalmustbe FULLYdepressedto activate
the safetyinterlockswitchwhenstartingthetractor.
Parking Brake Lever
NOTE:The parkingbrakemustbe setif the operator
leavesthe seatwiththe enginerunning;otherwisethe
enginewill automaticallyshutoff, h._,._
• Tosetthe parkingbrake,fullydepress
the brakepedaland pushthe bottom
of parkingbrakeleverinward, Seethe
imageto the rightfor parkingbrake
identification,Holdtheleverin while
removingyour footfromthe brake
pedal, Bothparkingbrakeleverand
brakepedalwill staydepressed,
• Toreleasethe parkingbrake,depress
the brakepedalslightly,The parkingbrakeleverwill
then returnto itsoriginalposition,
IMPORTANT:Alwayssetthe parkingbrakewhenleaving
the tractorunattended.
PTO (Blade Engage)
Control Switch
Toengagethe electricPTOand
providepowerto the cuttingdeck,
pulloutwardonthe PTOcontrol
switchknob.Pushthe switchknob
inwardto disengagethe PTOand
stopthecuttingdeck.
NOTE: ThePTOControlSwitch
mustbe inthe disengaged(OFF)
positionwhenstartingthe engine,

Key Switch Module
The keyswitchmoduleis
usedto start andstopthe
engine,Itis also usedto
activatethe REVERSE
CAUTIONMODE.Insert
keyintothe keyswitch
moduleand
to the STARTposition,
Releasethe keyinto
the NORMALMOWING
positiononceenginehas
started.

Tostopthe engine,turntheignitionkeycounterclockwise
to the STOPposition.

disengagePTO,moveshiftleverinto
neutralposition,setparkingbrake,
stopengineand removekeyto prevent
unintendedstarting.

Drive Pedal
The drivepedalis locatedonthe right sideof the tractor,
alongthe runningboard,Depressthe upperportionof
the drive pedalforwardtocausethe tractorto travel
forward,Depressthe lowerportionofthe drive 41.
pedalwiththe ballof your rightfoot (NOTyour
heel)to causethe tractorto travelin reverse,
Groundspeedis also controlledwiththe drive
pedal,Thefurtherforwardor rearwardthatthe
pedalis pivoted,the fasterthe tractorwill travel.
The tractorwill slowandthe pedalwill return
to itsoriginalpositionwhenthe pedalis not
depressed,
__lb ARNING:Nevermovethe key into
theStart position whilethe engineis
running.Doingsomaycausedamageto
yourengine'sstarter.
12V Power Outlet
The 12Vpoweroutletis locatedbelowthe chokecontrol
onthe left sideof the dashpanel.It is usedfor the
convenienceof pluggingin accessoriesthatrequirea
powersourcewitha maximumloadof 5 arnpsat 12volts,
