Systems Indicator Monitor/Hour Meter
Yourtractor is equippedwith a SystemsIndicator Monitoras
shownin Figure5. The monitorrecordsthe accumulatedhours
of tractor operation,anddisplaysthe informationon the LCDhour
meterdisplay(tenths of an hour- right most digit). The monitor
also has four indicatorlights thatshowthe statusof various
functionsof the tractor.

The system indicator monitorfeaturesare as follows:
LCDHourMeterDisplay
The hour meterdisplay is activatedwhenthe keyswitch is
turned to either the "NORMALMOWING"or the "REVERSE
CAUTIONMODE"switchpositions. Whenthe key switch is
turned to an on position, the batteryindicator light briefly
illuminatesand the battery voltage is briefly displayed.The
displaythen changesto theaccumulatedhours.
NOTE: A record of the actual hoursof operationshould be kept
to assuremaintenanceproceduresare completedaccording to
the schedulein this manual.
The IndicatorMonitorwill also remindthe operatorof main-
tenanceintervalsfor changingthe engineoil. The LCDwill
alternatelyflash the recordedhours,"CHG"and"OIL"forfive
minutes,after every50 hoursof recordedoperationelapse.The
maintenanceintervallastsfor twohours (from50-52,100-102,
150-152,etc.). The LCDwill flashas describedfor five minutes
everytimethe tractor'sengineis startedduringthis maintenance
interval.Followthe oil changeintervalsprovidedin the engine
manualthis the Maintainingyour Tractorsection of this Manual.
Battery Indicator Light
Illuminateswhenthe ignitionswitchit turnedto an ON positionand
theengineis not started.
Illuminatesto indicatethe batteryvoltagehas droppedbelow11.5
(+0.5/-1.0)DCvolts(the batteryvoltageis alsodisplayedon the
hourmeter).Ifthisindicatoranddisplaycomeon duringoperation,
checkthe batteryandchargingsystemfor possiblecausesand/or
contactyourCub Cadetdealer.
Oil PressureIndicatorLight
Thiswarninglampindicateslow engineoilpressure.If this
indicatorilluminates,stopthe tractorimmediatelyandcheckthe
engineoil level.If theoil levelis withinthe operatingrange,but the
light remainson, contactyourCubCadetdealer.NOTE:Theoil
pressureindicatormayilluminatewhenthekeyswitchis turnedto
an onposition,but shouldturn offwhenthe engineis started.
PTOEngagedIndicator Light
Thisindicatorilluminateswhenthe keyswitchis turnedto the
"START"positionwhilethe PTOswitchis inthe "ENGAGED"
position.Checkthisindicatorif the enginewill notcrankwiththe
keyswitchinthe "START"position.Movethe PTOswitchto the
"DISENGAGED"position.
Brake Engaged Indicator
Thisindicatorilluminateswhenthe keyswitchis turnedto the
"START"positionandthe brakepedalis notfullydepressed.Check
thisindicatorif the enginewill notcrankwiththe keyswitchin the
"START"position.Ifnecessary,fullydepressthe brakepedal._
Throttle Control Lever
Thethrottlecontrollevercontrolsthe speed
of the engine.Whensetin a givenposition,
the throttlewill maintaina uniformengine
speed.
IMPORTANT:Whenoperatingthe tractor
withthecutting deckengaged,throttle
controllevermustalwaysbe inthe FAST
(rabbit)position.

Key Switch Module
The keyswitchmoduleis usedto
startand stopthe engine.Itis also
usedto activatethe REVERSE
CAUTIONMODE.Insertkeyinto
the keyswitchmoduleandturn
clockwiseto the STARTposition.
Releasethe keyinto the NORMAL
MOWINGpositiononceengine
has started.
Tostopthe engine,turn theignitior
keycounterclockwiseto the STOP
position.
I,_ ARNING:Neverleave a runningmachine
lunattended.AlwaysdisengagePTO,moveshift
Ileverintoneutralposition,setparkingbrake,stop
lengineandremovekeyto preventunintended
_starting.
