FEDERAL and/or CALIFORNIA EMISSION CONTROL WARRANTY STATEMENT
YOUR WARRANTY RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS
MTDConsumerGroupInc,the UnitedStatesEnvironmentalProtectionAgency(EPA),and, forthose productscertifiedfor sale in the stateofCalifornia,the
CaliforniaAir ResourcesBoard(CARB)are pleasedto explainthe emission(evaporativeand/orexhaust)controlsystem(ECS) warrantyonyouroutdoor2006
andlater smalloff-roadspark-ignitedengineandequipment(outdoorequipmentengine)InCalifornia,new outdoorequipmentenginesmustbedesigned,builtand
equippedto meetthe State'sstringentanti-smogstandards(inotherstates, 1997andlater modelyearequipmentmustbedesigned,built,and equippedto meet
theU.S. EPAsmalloff-road,sparkignitionengineregulations.MTDConsumerGroupInc mustwarrantthe ECSonyour outdoorequipmentenginefor the periodof
timelisted belowprovidedtherehasbeen noabuse,neglector impropermaintenanceof outdoorequipmentengine.
YourECSmayincludeparts suchas thecarburetor,fuel-injectionsystem,the ignitionsystem,catalyticconverter,fueltanks,fuel lines,fuel caps,valves,canisters,
filters,vaporhoses,clamps,connectors,andotherassociatedemission-relatedcomponents.
Wherea warrantableconditionexists, MTDConsumerGroupIncwill repairyouroutdoorequipmentengineat no cost to youincludingdiagnosis,partsand labor.
MAN UFACTURER'S WARRANTY COVERAGE:
Thisemissioncontrolsystemis warrantedfor two years. If any emission-relatedpartonyouroutdoorequipmentengineisdefective,the partwill be repairedor
replacedby MTDCONSUMERGROUPINC.
OWNER'S WARRANTY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Asthe outdoorequipmentengineowner,youare responsiblefor performanceof the requiredmaintenancelisted inyour owner'smanual.MTDConsumerGroup
Inc recommendsthat you retainallreceiptscoveringmaintenanceonyouroutdoorequipmentengine,butMTDConsumerGroupInc cannotdeny warrantysolely
forthe lackof receipts.
Asthe outdoorequipmentengineowner,youshouldhoweverbe awarethat MTDConsumerGroupInc maydenyyouwarrantycoverageifyour outdoorequipment
engineor a part hasfaileddue to abuse,neglect,or impropermaintenanceor unapprovedmodifications.
Youare responsiblefor presentingyouroutdoorequipmentengineto MTDConsumerGroupInc'sdistributioncenterorservicecenteras soon asthe problem
exists.Thewarrantyrepairsshouldbe completedin a reasonableamountof time, nottoexceed30 days.If you havea questionregardingyour warrantycoverage,

GENERAL EMISSIONS WARRANTY COVERAGE:
MTDConsumerGroupIncwarrantsto the ultimatepurchaserand eachsubsequentpurchaserthat theoutdoorequipmentengineis: Designed,built and equipped
so asto conformwithall applicableregulations;and freefromdefects in materialsand workmanshipthatcausethe failureof a warrantedpart to be identicalin all
materialrespectstothat part as describedin MTDConsumerGroupInc'sapplicationfor certification.
Thewarrantyperiodbeginsonthedate theoutdoorequipmentengineis deliveredto anultimatepurchaserorfirst placedintoservice.Thewarrantyperiodis two
years.
Subjecttocertainconditionsand exclusionsasstated below,the warrantyonemission-relatedpartsis asfollows:
1. Any warrantedpartthat is notscheduledfor replacementas requiredmaintenancein thewritten instructionssupplied,is warrantedforthe warrantyperiod
statedabove.Ifthe part fails duringthe periodof warrantycoverage,thepart will berepairedor replacedbyMTDConsumerGroupInc accordingto subsection
(4)below.Anysuchpart repairedor replacedunderwarrantywillbewarrantedfor the remainderof the period.
2. Any warrantedpartthat is scheduledonlyfor regularinspectionin the writteninstructionssupplied is warrantedforthe warrantyperiodstatedabove.Anysuch
partrepairedor replacedunderwarrantywill bewarrantedforthe remainingwarrantyperiod.
3. Any warrantedpartthat is scheduledfor replacementas requiredmaintenancein thewritten instructionssuppliediswarrantedfor the periodof timebeforethe
firstscheduledreplacementdatefor that part.If the partfails beforethefirst scheduledreplacement,the partwill berepairedorreplacedby MTDConsumer
GroupInc accordingto subsection(4)below.Any such part repairedor replacedunderwarrantywill bewarrantedfor the remainderof the periodpriortothe
firstscheduledreplacementpointfor thepart.
4. Repairor replacementofanywarrantedpart underthe warrantyprovisionshereinmustbeperformedat a warrantystationat no chargeto the owner.
5. Notwithstandingthe provisionsherein,warrantyservicesor repairswill beprovidedatallof our distributioncentersthatare franchisedto servicethe subject
enginesor equipment.
6. The outdoorequipmentengineownerwill notbe chargedfor diagnosticlaborthat isdirectlyassociatedwithdiagnosisof a defective,emission-relatedwar-
rantedpart, providedthat suchdiagnosticworkis performedat a warrantystation.
7. MTDConsumerGroupInc is liablefor damagestootherengineor equipmentcomponentsproximatelycausedby a failureunderwarrantyof anywarranted
part.
8. Throughoutthe off-roadengineand equipmentwarrantyperiodstatedabove,MTDConsumerGroupInc will maintaina supplyofwarrantedpartssufficientto
meetthe expecteddemandfor suchparts.
9. Any replacementpartmaybe usedinthe performanceof anywarrantymaintenanceor repairsand mustbe providedwithoutchargeto the owner.Suchusewill
notreducethe warrantyobligationsof MTDConsumerGroupInc.
10.Add-onor modifiedpartsthat are notexemptedbythe AirResourcesBoardmaynot be used.The useof any non-exemptedadd-onor modifiedpartsby the
ultimatepurchaserwill begroundsfor disallowinga warrantyclaims.MTDConsumerGroup Incwill notbeliable to warrantfailuresof warrantedpartscaused
bythe useof a non-exemptedadd-onor modifiedpart.
