Multicast forwarding enables transmitting packets from either a specific multicast group to a source or from a

nonspecific source to a multicast group. There are two submenus under the Tools menu (shown in figure 5-19):

IGMP Configuration, IGMP Status. Click any of them, and you will be able to configure the corresponding

function.

5.8.1 IGMP Configuration

You can set up which port the IGMP packets send to on this page. , shown in figure 5-20:

• IGMP MODE：When IGMP Snooping is enabled globally, all IGMP packets are forwarded to the CPU. The

CPU analyzes the incoming packets and determines. Which ports want to join which Multicast groups,

Which ports have Multicast routers generating IGMP queries and Which routing protocols are forwarding

packets and Multicast traffic; when IGMP Proxy is select, you may set the PROXY QUERY VERSION, there

are two versions(IGMP v1 and IGMP v2) you select one of them.
