Enter the information about the workstation that will be running the management software for
your network. Up to four separate management stations may be configured to access the SNMP
agent. Under each station, a read/write or read only community string may be defined as well as
which traps will go to which management station. Under "Manager Config" items 5 and 6 you
can set the specific community strings for read/write and read only.
To upgrade the SNMP firmware, configure a TFTP server on your network. Place the upgrade
binary file on the server and set the IP address and path of the server in the SNMP agent. From
the main SNMP configuration menu, select item #3 to start the upload and upgrade process.
For any changes to be remembered in the agent, please select item #4 to "Save and Reset". DO
NOT INTERRUPT POWER DURING SAVE OPERATION OR THE FLASH MEMORY
MAY BECOME CORRUPT.
The actual "get", "set", and "trap" items for the MULTIPLEXER UNIT were unavailable
at the time of this printing. Please check your distributor for any updated information.
This completes the section of SNMP operation. For importing the MIB and SNMP
operation, please refer to the documentation for your management software.
