SECTION 28 0500 – FRONT END
PART 1 GENERAL
1.01 INTRODUCTION
A. Carson City-Crystal Area Schools (Owner) invites qualified contractors to provide
proposals for a Cabling and Network Upgrade. This work includes Data cables, fiber
cables, network electronics and a wireless network throughout the district.
B. The district consists of a K-3
rd
grade building, 4
th
grade thru 12
th
grade building, Bus
garage and an Administration building
C. There will be four Bid categories for this work.
1. The first bid category will be for a cabling upgrades
2. The second bid category will be for the Audio/Video Systems
3. The third bid category will be for the security systems
4. The fourth bid category will be for the data network and wireless network
D. The Contractor shall pay all costs of the Work including, but not limited to, labor,
materials, equipment, tools, transportation, freight, taxes, royalties, patent fees, support
facilities, construction equipment, water, heat, utilities, supervision, overhead, and all
other items necessary for the proper execution and completion of the Work.
