Panasonic’s HDTV-ready Tau TVs deliver a picture that’s
bright, punchy, and crystal-clear, with impressively deep
blacks. Two wideband component video inputs let you con-
nect a regular or progressive-scan DVD player and an HDTV
tuner (please call for an HDTV tuner recommendation).
HDTV broadcasts will knock your socks off, and you’ll find
there’s an ever-increasing amount of over-the-air, satellite,
and cable HDTV programming available.
Panasonic’s built-in Progressive Scan Doubler converts
non-HDTV signals to progressive scan (480p), giving images
a smoother, more 3-dimensional appearance. Like most
“line-doublers,” it is most effective on DVD, but it can also
make an ordinary analog cable signal look noticeably better.
Both the 32" CT-32HL43 and and 36" CT-36HL43 offer a
whopping 7 A/V inputs, so they’re ready for today’s multi-
source home theater systems. In addition to the two compo-
