INSTALLED SOUND
Slim, rugged and unobtrusive, the LM-201 is the best choice
for pulpit and lectern applications. Its internal shock mount
reduces lectern thumps. A ball-and-socket joint combined
with a rugged mic arm provides quiet, long-term operation.
The LM-201’s supercardioid pattern rejects background noise
and reverb while improving gain-before-feedback. Outboard
electronics attach to supply power to the condenser element,
with the option of power by normal phantom power or minia-
ture AC plug-in adapter. Available in black (LM-201P) or
brown (LM-201B).
Element Type: Electret Condenser
Frequency Response: 100 Hz to 15 kHz
Polar Pattern: Supercardioid
Impedance: 150 ohms
Sensitivity: 6 mV/Pa

Gooseneck Microphones for Lectern/Pulpit
No matter the situation, the elegant LM-300A and LM-301A
can meet the need. Both of these silent-operating goosenecks
provide the same superb performance and supercardioid
noise rejection. Explosive breath sounds are effectively
reduced with the supplied foam 2-stage pop filter, while a low-
cut switch further reduces breath pops.
The LM-300A and LM-300AL (longer arm) plug directly into a
female XLR panel or cable connector, while the LM-301A
screws onto a standard 5/8-in.-27 thread, and has an external
XLR connector.
To reduce lectern thumps, the LM-SM shock mount is sup-
plied at no charge.
Element Type: Electret Condenser
Frequency Response: 80 Hz to 15 kHz
Polar Pattern: Supercardoid
Impedance: 150 ohms
Sensitivity: 6 mV/Pa

MIC TIPS
Stage-Floor Miking
Here is a typical mic placement for a stage
floor: Space three PCC-160 microphones
evenly near the edge of the stage. Place
them as close as possible toward the
actors. One or two PCCs might be enough
for a small stage.
The more mics that are on, the muddier the
sound, and the more feedback you will
have. To aid clarity and reduce feedback,
turn up as few mics as possible. For exam-
ple, suppose an actor walks across the
stage from left to right while talking. First
turn up just the left mic, then turn it down
while turning up the center mic. Then turn it
down while turning up the right mic. Follow
cues in the script so you know when to turn
up various microphones.
