to ensure that any fuel trapped in the system has the
stabilizer in it. You may also opt to add the fuel stabilizer
and run the unit unl it is out of fuel (If you opt to drain
the fuel, then connue on with the instrucons below).
3. To drain the gasoline from the fuel tank, turn the engine
switch to the “OFF” posion.
4. Siphon the fuel from the tank.
5. Change the engine oil.
6. Remove the spark plug and pour about a tablespoon of
clean engine oil into the cylinder.
7. Crank the engine several revoluons to distribute the oil
and then reinstall the spark plug.
8. Slowly pull the starter grip unl resistance is felt. At this
point, the piston is coming up on its compression stroke
and both the intake and exhaust valves are closed. Storing
the engine in this posion will help to protect it from
internal corrosion.
GENERATOR UPKEEP
It is essenal that the generator be run on a regular basis.
This will prevent the accumulaon of varnish or sludge in the
fuel system; remove moisture from the generator windings.
Addionally the engine seals and moving components must
be lubricated. Run it with at least a 1/2 load (1500W) for 15
minutes per month.
