5. Select a WAV file in the Sound List table and click Properties to open
the “Sound Properties” window. Assign a join number either
automatically with the Auto button or by scrolling down to the desired
number. Select Description to enter comments about the WAV file and
click OK when done.
NOTE: The assigned WAV file will play once when the feedback join goes high.
6. Repeat for each WAV file.
Reserved Join Numbers
A reserved join number is a touchpanel feature that enables a designer to create a
button in VT Pro-e that performs a predetermined function entirely within the
touchpanel that is not transmitted to the control system. By assigning a reserved join
number to a button, functions such as touchpanel volume control or LCD brightness
can easily be created in a touchpanel project without additional programming in
SIMPL Windows. The following tables list some reserved join numbers that can be
included in a touchpanel project.
NOTE: Many touchpanel configuration “shortcuts” are available via the software.
A button can be created on a page that either calls up the Preferences Menu, adjusts
brightness, etc., via reserved join numbers.
NOTE: Reserved join numbers can also be automatically activated by a control
system when using join number remapping. Refer to the latest version of the Join
Number Remapping Reference Guide (Doc. 5969) and the SIMPL Windows help
file for more details.
