(Doc. 6385).
The TPMC-15/17-L wall mount touchpanels are equipped with a voltage monitor
(located on the rear of the touchpanel) that monitors the incoming voltage from the
TPMC-L-IMC. If the voltage level is too high, power to the touchpanel will be
interrupted and an LED on the rear of the touchpanel, indicating OVER
VOLTAGE, will be illuminated.
If the voltage level is too low, an LED on the rear of the touchpanel, indicating
UNDER VOLTAGE, will be illuminated. Crestron does not recommend operating
the touchpanel when the UNDER VOLTAGE LED is illuminated.
A possible cause of low voltage may be a long cable run between the touchpanel and
the TPMC-L-IMC. When the UNDER VOLTAGE LED is illuminated, the wiring
between the touchpanel and the TPMC-L-IMC may be too long. Crestron
recommends using two 60 foot (or shorter) runs of 14-gauge stranded wire between
the touchpanel and the TPMC-L-IMC. For more information, refer to the latest
revision of the TPMC-L-IMC Data Sheet (Doc. 6385).
NOTE: If the touchpanel is installed within close proximity to the power supply
(i.e. within a lectern), remove the power cable connecting the PWR OUT port to the
PWR port and connect the power supply to the PWR port of the touchpanel without
using the TPMC-L-IMC.
