Operation
Prior to using this section, refer to the QuickStart Guide (Doc. 6510) that is included
with the AMS.
For instructions on using the APAD and the C2N-DBF12 with the AMS refer to the
latest version of the Out-Of-The-Box Functionality Guide (Doc. 6493).
Operating the AMS is broken down into seven primary functions:

Theater Mode
The Theater mode is used to view and/or listen to video and audio sources in the
theater room.
Activate the Theater Mode
To activate the Theater mode, press any of the Theater Source buttons.
Alternatively, you can press the THEATER button.
When in the Theater mode, the theater source can be selected. Adjustments to the
front-panel-display backlight, Surround Sound mode, theater tools, groups, and sleep
timer can also be made.
Select the Theater Source
There are two methods to selecting a theater source:
• Press a Theater Source button.
• Press the THEATER button and select a source.

• To select a source, turn the selection knob until the desired source is
displayed on the front panel and press the ENTER button.
