Inputs
Sources in the theater are selected from any one of 27 “virtual” theater inputs. A
virtual theater input is a combination of video and audio inputs. A virtual theater
input can also be configured as “video only” (no audio component), or “audio only”
(no video component). Each virtual theater input is assigned a number that is shown
in the list of virtual inputs. The numbers do not correspond to any of the input
numbers labeled on the back of the AMS. For example, Virtual Theater Input 3 can
be configured as a source named “DVD”, receives audio from “Digital Input 2” and
component video from the “Component 6” input.
Virtual theater inputs 1 through 6 are assigned to the theater source buttons.
Depending on the audio configuration specified on page 44, up to six of the theater
source buttons may be used to select a virtual theater input.
To configure a virtual theater input:
• Open Installer Tools as described on page 41, select Configure Theater,
and press the ENTER button.
• Turn the selection knob to select Inputs and press the ENTER button to
open the Inputs control.
