Problem Solving
Troubleshooting
The following table provides corrective action for possible trouble situations. If
further assistance is required, please contact a Crestron customer service
representative.
AMS Troubleshooting
TROUBLE POSSIBLE CAUSE(S) CORRECTIVE ACTION
AMS does not
function.
AMS is not receiving
power.
Use the provided power cord.
Verify connection.
C2N-DBF12 or
APAD does not
function.
AMS is not
communicating with
C2N-DBF12 or APAD
devices.
Verify that C2N-DBF12 and
APAD devices are properly
connected to the AMS and
are identified by the AMS as
described on page 55.
AAE is not properly
connected to the AMS.
Verify that the AAE is
properly connected to the
AMS.
Open Installer Tools and
select “Identify Keypads”.
Identify all keypads in the
system.
AMS only allows
six rooms
(maximum) when
using the out-of-
the-box
functionality.
AAE is not registered
with AMS.
Use Crestron Toolbox to
manually set the AAEs Net ID
to 31.
AAE is not properly
connected to the AMS.
Verify that the AAE is
properly connected to the
AMS.
Open Installer Tools and
select “Identify Keypads”.
Identify all keypads in the
system.
Buttons on AAE
do not light or do
anything
AAE is not registered
with AMS.
Use Crestron Toolbox to
manually set AAE Net ID to
31.
Tuner cards are
not listed on the
LCD or APAD as
available sources.
Tuner card is not
properly installed.
Refer to the tuner card’s
guide for installation
instructions.
CEN-IDOC or AAS are
not receiving power.
Verify that each device is
receiving power.
CEN-IDOC or
AAS devices not
listed on the LCD
or APAD as
available sources.
CEN-IDOC or AAS are
not communicating with
AMS over Ethernet.
Verify each device’s TCP/IP
settings.
