CRESTRON Slide Controller: SP-SC Description Functional Description The SP-SC is a slide controller that allows easy control of slide projectors from the SmartPresenter, Smartouch ST-CP, and CNMSX systems. Physical Description The SP-SC is a small unit with a permanently attached 6 ft. (183 cm) projector cable. The projector cable is equipped with an EBY, pickle type connector. A 3ft. (91 cm) Serial Data Cable is supplied for connection to the SmartPresenter or the SmarTouch ST-CP systems.

CRESTRON Setup SP-SC with SmartPresenter™ Connect the 3.5 mm, Serial Data Cable (supplied) to the input port on the SP-SC. Connect the other end of the cable to one of the outputs on the SP-1. CRESTRON SP-SC with CNMSX The SP-SC can be used with a variety of Crestron systems, including the CNMSX. When used with a CNMSX there are additional hardware requirements. • A specially designed Serial Data Cable is required (p/n CNSP-112). • An external power supply is required. Refer to "Specifications" on page 2 for part number and input/output voltage specifications. Connect the stereo plug of the CNSP-112 into the input port of the SP-SC.
CRESTRON Programming SmartPresenter™ SP-1 The SmartPresenter is field programmable and does not require a PC. Refer to the latest revision of the SmartPresenter – Quick Guide (DOC. 5742). SmartPresenter software is available, however, it is only necessary for changing drivers, cloning SP-1 machines, and updating firmware. SmarTouch™ ST-CP The SmarTouch systems are easily programmed using the SmarTouch STS Wizard. In several easy steps a SmarTouch system can be programmed and up-loaded.

POSSIBLE CAUSE(S) SmartPresenter Q-Code incorrect SmarTouch ST-CP /CMMSX Incorrect Driver Selected No 12v power supply CORRECTIVE ACTION Verify that the correct Q-Code for the device has been assigned.
