Appendix: Firmware Upgrades
NOTE: Only firmware upgrades can be uploaded directly to the MLX-3. Firmware
is loaded to to the MLX-3 using the USB cable included in your MLX-3’s packaging
Use Crestron Toolbox for communicating with the MLX-3. Refer to the Crestron
Toolbox help file for details.

1. The computer port on the MLX-3 connects to the PC via the supplied USB
cable.
2. Use the Address Book in Crestron Toolbox to create an entry using USB. In
the Device Type selection, select MLX-3 (USB) after acknowledging the
warning.
3. Display the MLX-3’s “System Info” window (click the
icon);
communications are confirmed when the device information is displayed.
4. Select Functions | Firmware… to upgrade the MLX-3 firmware.
