Pocket Replacement Window Installation Instructions
Remove Bottom Sash (cont.)
Move sash slowly and carefully to
prevent glass from shattering. Wear
full protective clothing including gloves and safety
glasses.
NOTE: Unlock any sash or tilt locks. If present, hold
spring-loaded side bolts in the disengaged
position.
3. Lower bottom sash so it rests just above the stool.
4. Rotate one side of bottom sash inward (FIGURE 5).
Cut sash cord if present (FIGURE 6). Some
units use a spring balance that must be removed
(FIGURE 7).
5. Continue working sash toward interior and remove
cord or spring from opposite side.
6. Safely discard bottom sash.
