Pocket Replacement Window Installation Instructions
IMPORTANT: If you will not be replacing your
exterior trim, skip to the next page.
Removing Old Exterior Trim
If you are replacing your old trim proceed as follows.
1. Use a sharp utility knife and cut through caulk
that surrounds the head and sides of the old trim
(FIGURES 1 & 2). Cutting through the caulk
reduces the possibility of siding damage as the trim
is removed.
2. Use a hammer and pry bar to carefully remove the
trim. Do not damage siding, the outside stops, or
the sill (FIGURE 3).
3. After all trim is removed, clean remaining caulk from
the opening (FIGURES 4 & 5).
4. Clean opening with brush or shop vacuum.
