About PlaysForSure and Windows Media Player 10 Update 56
When enabling PlaysForSure and WMP10 Update, you can:
use Zen Micro with any Windows XP computer with WMP10 installed.
use the Autosync feature in WMP10 to quickly transfer media files.
view Zen Micro in Windows Explorer for easy drag-and-drop transfer of audio and data.
use subscription-based online music services.
Note that PlaysForSure and WMP10 Update-enabled devices:
reduce the maximum number of media files because of additional memory requirements.
require software updates if you want to use any currently installed applications, such as,
Creative MediaSource, Zen Media Explorer or other track management tools with your player.
Enabling PlaysForSure and WMP10 Update
The option of enabling PlaysForSure and WMP10 Update is made available to you when
you set up Zen Micro’s software on your computer.
To set up Zen Micro’s software
1 Insert the Installation and Applications CD into your CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive.
Your CD should start automatically. If it does not, follow the steps below:
Start Windows Explorer.
On the left pane, click the My Computer icon.
Right-click the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive icon, and then click Autoplay.
2 Follow the instructions on the screen and select the option for PlaysForSure and WMP10
Update. Note that PlaysForSure and WMP10 Update is optional and can be enabled later
if you wish.
