VoiceAssist uses voice and ke
y
board commands to navi
g
ate the Windows environment and run
applications. For example,
y
ou can sa
y
“e-mail” to launch
y
our e-mail software, or press the L ke
y
to
insert a letterhead into a document. VoiceAssist automaticall
learns to reco
nize
our commands—
y
ou
can perform an almost limitless number of tasks with voice/ke
y
board commands.
VoiceAssist runs in the back
round, monitorin
our input. Whenever
ou open a pro
ram or window,
VoiceAssist automaticall
extracts the available menu commands. When
ou open
our Web browser,
for example, VoiceAssist loads all commands available for that pro
ram. You can then execute a
command b
sa
in
its name into the microphone, t
pin
its name into the ke
board input box, or
double-clickin
the command in the Commands window.
You do not have to train VoiceAssist to reco
nize
our commands. However,
ou ma
retrain the
pro
ram to reco
nize a different input and to execute a series of actions executed b
a sin
le command.
