Section 4: First Aid Measures
Eye Contact: Immediately flush with plenty of water for 15 minutes. Call a physician if irritation persists.
Skin Contact: None usually required. Material is designed for application on the skin. If symptoms develop seek
medical attention.
Inhalation: Unlikely route as liquid is impregnated on a towel, minimizing exposure via this route. If
overexposed, move into fresh air. If symptoms develop seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Not a likely exposure route. If a large quantity of liquid is swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call a
physician or poison control center immediately.
Note to Physicians: Treat symptomatically.

Flammable Properties:
The liquid on the towel is a Class IB flammable liquid, as defined by OSHA.

Fire and Explosion Data:
Suitable Extinguishing Media: Use carbon dioxide, dry chemical, or alcohol foam.
Products of Combustion: Carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, smoke and soot
Explosion Hazards: Containers, when exposed to heat from fire, may build pressure and rupture. Vapors may
accumulate in a confined space and create a flammable atmosphere.
Protection of Fire-Fighters:
Firefighters should wear self-contained, NIOSH-approved breathing apparatus for
protection against suffocation and possible toxic decomposition products. Proper eye and
skin protection should be provided. Use water spray to keep fire-exposed containers cool
and to knock down vapors which may result from product decomposition. Prevent run-off
from entering sewers and public waterways.
