Owner's Guide for the CRATE Bass Amplifier
Bass Amplifier Congratulations! You are now the proud owner of the compact but powerful Crate MXB10 Bass Amplifier. Small in size yet big in performance: the 8” Crate Custom speaker makes the most of the amplifier’s 10 watts of musical output power. A 3-band rotary EQ gives you complete control over a wide variety of sounds. In addition, the front panel headphone and external speaker jacks make this amplifier equally suited for practicing as well as performing in intimate surroundings.
Bass Amplifier Important Safeguards and Precautions: All Crate products are designed for continuous safe operation. Abiding by the following rules can help prevent damage to your amplifier, yourself and others. • The amplifier is equipped with a three-pronged AC power cord. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, NEVER remove or otherwise attempt to defeat the ground pin of the power cord. • Connect the amplifier ONLY to a properly grounded AC outlet of the proper voltage for your amp.
Bass Amplifier The Front Panel: 1: INPUT: Use this 1/4” jack to connect your guitar to the amplifier by means of a shielded instrument cable. 2: LEVEL: Use this control to adjust the overall output of the amplifier. 3: LOW: Use this control to adjust the bass response of the amplifier. Rotating the control counterclockwise reduces the low frequency output. Rotating the control clockwise increases the low frequency output. It may be necessary to reduce the Low control at higher volume levels.
Bass Amplifier 7: HEADPHONES: Use this jack to connect headphones to the amplifier. The internal speaker is disconnected when headphones are used. CAUTION: To avoid possible damage to your hearing, do not use headphones for extended periods of time at extremely loud levels. 8: ON LED: This LED illuminates when the amplifier is turned on. 9: POWER: Use this switch to turn the amplifier on (top of the switch depressed) and off (bottom of the switch depressed).
