Proper Hand Position (Fig. B)
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, ALWAYS use proper hand position as shown.
Proper hand position requires one hand on the main
handle

away from you and anybystander.

OPERATION
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, turn unit off and disconnect it from
power source before making any adjustments or
removing/installing attachments or accessories.
An accidental start-up can causeinjury.
Air Temperature (Fig. A)
Air Temperature Adjustment Knob
The air temperature can be adjusted to suit a wide range
of applications. Turn the temperature adjustment knob

clockwise or counterclockwise for higher or lowerheat.
Applications
The table below suggests settings for differentapplications.
Setting Applications
Low Drying paint and varnish
Removing stickers
Waxing and dewaxing
Drying wet timber prior to filling
Shrinking PVC wrapping and insulation tubes
Thawing frozen pipes
High Welding plastics
Bending plastic pipes and sheets
Loosening rusted or tightly fastened nuts
and bolts
Removing paint and lacquer
Soldering plumbing joints
Removing linoleum or vinyl floor tiles
Heat shrink wrap around wires.
Removing/ melting glue/ adhesive
ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENTS

Switch (Fig. C)
The position of the two speed switch

controls both the
fan speed and the heat output of thegun.
To turn the tool on in low speed, low heat, slide the
switch to the position marked “I”.
To turn the tool on in high speed, high heat, slide the
switch to the position marked “II”.
To turn the tool off, slide the switch to the position
marked “O”.

Prior to Operation (Fig. A)
1. Attach the correct accessory recommended for
theapplication.

airtemperature.
Removing Paint (Fig. A)
WARNING: Refer to Important Notice under Safety
Instructions for Heat Guns before using the tool to
removepaint.
WARNING: Do not strip metal window frames as the
heat may crack theglass.
When stripping other window frames, use a glass
protectionnozzle.
To prevent igniting the surface, do not keep the
tool directed at one spot toolong.
