MAINTENANCE
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious
personal injury, turn unit off and remove the
battery pack before making any adjustments or
removing/installing attachments or accessories.
An accidental start‑up can causeinjury.
Your CRAFTSMAN power tool has been designed to operate
over a long period of time with a minimum of maintenance.
Continuous satisfactory operation depends upon proper tool
care and regularcleaning.
Switching ON/OFF (Fig. A, H)
WARNING: Use both hands to grip the
product firmly when switchingon.
CAUTION: Do not point unit discharge at
self orbystanders.
Your blower is fitted with a 2speed ON/OFF switch located
on the top of the main handle

• To switch the blower ON, slide the ON/OFF

switch
forward to position1.
• To operate blower in high speed, slide the ON/OFF
1
switch forward to position2.
• To switch the blower off, slide the ON/OFF
1
switchback.
Inserting and Removing the Battery Pack
from the Tool (Fig.A, F)
WARNING: Before removing or installing
battery, make certain the trigger switch

is in the off
position to prevent switchactuation.
NOTE: Make sure your battery pack

is fullycharged.
To Install the Battery Pack into the
ToolHandle
Align the battery pack

with the rails inside the tool’s
handle (Fig. F).
Slide it into the handle until the battery pack is firmly seated
in the tool and ensure that you hear the lock snap intoplace.
To Remove the Battery Pack from
theTool
Press the release button

and firmly pull the battery pack
out of the toolhandle.
Insert battery pack into the charger as described in the
charger section of thismanual.
Proper hand position requires one hand on the main
handle

Proper Hand Position (Fig.G)
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious
personal injury, ALWAYS use proper hand position
asshown.
WARNING: Do not operate blower
without blow tube securely in place. Never reach down
into housing through tubehole.
WARNING: Always wear safety
glasses. Always wear respiratory protection. Always
wear hearing protection. Use of rubber gloves and
substantial footwear is recommended when working
outdoors. Keep long hair and loose clothing away from
openings and moving parts. For household useonly.
WARNING: Cut Hazard. When turning
the tool off, wait 10seconds for the fan to stop rotating
beforeremoving the blowertube.
• Always ensure the blower is switched OFF and the
battery is removed when:
‑ You leave blowerunattended.
‑ Clearing ablockage.
‑ Checking, adjusting, cleaning or working onblower.
• Only use blower in daylight or good artificiallight.

Blow Tube Assembly (Fig.E)
WARNING: Do not operate blower
without tube securely in place. Never reach down into
housing through tubehole.
WARNING: Always turn unit off and
remove the battery pack when you leave blower
unattended or when storing, checking, adjusting,
cleaning, or working onblower.
1. To attach the blower tube

to the power head

up the peg

of the power head with the notch

blower tube opening as shown in Fig. E.
2. Push the blower tube onto the power head until the
tube locks engage the blower tube and an audible click
isheard.
3. Pull on the tube to ensure it is securely inplace.
4. To remove the blower tube, squeeze both tabs

on the
side of the power head and pull the blower tube off.
