TROUBLESHOOTING
DIAGNOSTICCHART
Your garagedoor opener is programmed with self-diagnostic capabilities. The UP and DOWNarrows on the garage door openerflash
the diagnostic codes.

The garagedoor
opener will not
close and the
light(s) willflash
Safety sensors are
notinstalled,
connected,or wires
may be cut
Inspect sensor wires for a disconnected or
cut wire(s). If the sending sensor with the
amber LEDis NOTlit, check the wire and
connections for that sensor. If sending
sensor LED is lit, check the wire
connections leading to the receiving
sensor (green LED).Reattachwire or
replacewire (22 gaugewire) as needed. If
pre-wired home, check the splices. See
page24 for installation. Closethe garage
door using the remote control or the door
control.
The garagedoor
opener will not
close and the
light(s) willflash
Safety sensor wire
shorted or reversed
Inspect sensor wire for incorrect wiring or
a pinched wire. If the sending sensor
(amber LED) is not lit, check the wire
leadingto and from that sensor. Check
staple points. If sending sensor LED is lit,
check the wire leadingto the receiving
sensor (green LED).Reattachwire or
replacewire (22 gaugewire) as needed. If
pre-wired home, check the splices. See
page24 for installation. Closethe garage
door using the remote control or the door
control.
Wall-mounted door
control will not
function
The wires for the
door control are
shorted or the door
control is faulty
Inspect door control wires for a short
(staple in wire), replacewire (22 gauge
wire) as needed.After installing new door
control wires, if door control still does not
operate garagedoor opener, replacethe
door control.
The garagedoor
opener will not
close the doorand
thelight(s)flash
Misaligned or
obstructed safe_
sensors
Realignthe receiving sensor (green LED)
by ensuring the LED is steady and not
flickering. A flicker of the safety sensor
LEDindicates a misalignment. Make sure
nothing is hanging or mounted on the
door interrupting the sensor's path while
closing. Closethe garage door using the
remote control or the door control.
The garagedoor Bad logic board
opener clicks but no
movement
Replacethe logic board.
The opener runs Communication
approximately 6-8" error to travel
and stops and/or module
reverses
Disconnect all power, remove cover, and
locatethe travel module. Ensurethe wires
for travel module are connected, if wires
areconnected, then replacethe travel
module.
