ADJUSTMENT STEP 1
Programthe Travel
1. Pressand hold the
Adjustment Button until the
UP Button beginsto flash
and/or a beepis heard.
2. Pressand hold the UP
Button until the door is in
the desired UP position.
NOTE:The UPand DOWN
Buttons can be used to
move the door up and down
as needed.
3. Once the door is in the
desired UP position press
and releasethe Adjustment
Button. The garagedoor
opener lights will flash twice
and the DOWNButton will
begin to flash.
IMPORTANTNOTE:For
one-piece door installations
refer to page27.
4. Pressand hold the DOWN
Button until the door is in
the desired DOWNposition.
NOTE:The UPand DOWN
Buttons can be used to
move the door up and down
as needed.
5. Oncethe door is in the
desired DOWNposition
press and releasethe
Adjustment Button. The
garagedoor opener lights
will flash twice and the UP
Button will begin to flash.
Without a properly installed safety reversalsystem, persons
(particularly small children) could be SERIOUSLYINJUREDor
KILLEDby a closing garagedoor.
Incorrect adjustment of garagedoor travel limits will interfere
with proper operation of safety reversalsystem.
After ANYadjustments are made, the safety reversalsystem
MUST be tested. DoorMUST reverseon contact with
1-1/2" (3.8 cm) high object (or 2x4 laid flat) on floor.
6. Press and releasethe UP
Button. When the door
travels to the programmed
UP position, the DOWN
Button will begin to flash.
7. Press and releasethe DOWN
Button. The door will travel
to the programmed DOWN
position. Programming is
complete.
If the garagedoor opener lights areflashing 5 times during the
steps for Programthe Travel,the programming has timed out.
If the garagedoor opener lights areflashing 10 times during
the steps for Programthe Travel,the safety reversing sensors
are misaligned or obstructed (refer to page 26). When the
sensors arealigned and unobstructed, cycle the door through a
complete up and down cycle using the remote control or the UP
and DOWNbuttons. Programming is complete. If you are
unableto operate the door up and door, repeat the steps for
Programming the Travel.
