If cutting line retreats into trimmer head during use: 1. Remove cover from trimmer head by pressing tab and turning cover clockwise (looking from bottom of unit). _ Tab NOTE: The line glide plate is held in place by the cutting line. The line must be removed to release the line glide plate from the trimmer head. 2. Remove the line glide plate. 3. Clean entire surface of trimmer head. 4. CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENT Pull both lines and make sure the lines are against the hub and extended full through the positioning tunnels. 7, Line against the hub Positioning Tunnel 8. Correctly installed line will be the same length on both ends. CHANGING THE TRIMMER HEAD 1. Align hole in the dust cup with the hole in the side of the gearbox by rotating the arbor shaft. 2. Insert a small screwdriver into aligned holes. This will keep the shaft from turning while removing and installing trimmer head.
