To avoid injury,never put lubricantson the
bladewhile it isspinning.

To avoidfire ortoxic reaction, never use
gasoline, naphtha, acetone, lacquer thinner
or other similar highly volatilesolvents to
clean the miter saw.
To avoid injuryfrom unexpected starting
or electricalshock, unplug the power cord
beforeworking on the saw.
Foryour safety,this saw is double-
insulated.Toavoid electrical shock, fire or
injuryuse only replacement partsidentical
to those identified in the schematic
diagram.
CHECKINGANDREPLACINGCARBON
BRUSHES(Fig.DD)
Replace both carbon brushes ifeitherhas lessthan
1/4 in.length of carbon remaining, or ifthe springor
wire is damaged or burned.
To remove the brushes:
Unscrewthe plasticcaps found at the beck of
the motor. Be carefulas the caps are spring-
loaded.
Withdraw the brusheswith their springs.
If replacementis necessary r insert now
brushes and replace thecaps.
NOTE: Used butserviceable brushes can be
replaced,butonly as long as they are returned
to the same position,and insertedthe same way
round, as they were removed from the machine.

DUST COLLECTION BAG
To maintainextraction efficiency,empty the Dust
CollectionBag when itbecomes approximately 2/3
full. Disposeofthe contents in anenvironmentally
responsibleway.The beg has a side zip opening.
LOWER BLADE GUARD
WARNING 1
Do not use the saw ifthe Lower Blade Guard is
damaged or notoperating correctly.A damaged or
non-functioningguard must be replacedbefore the
saw isused.A replacementguard must be tested
for efficientand safe operationwith the machine
disconnectedfrom the power source.The guard
operates automaticallyas the Cutting Head is raised
or lowered.
Run new brushes without load for 5 minutes.
This will helpthe break-in process.
