before attempting to make a cut. When the
Cutting Head is in position above the leading
edge of the workpiece the saw can be switched
on and the Cutting Head lowered and pushed
forwards towards the fence to make a cut.
CUTTING BOWED MATERIAL

Before cutting any workpiece, check to see if it
is bowed. If it is bowed the workpiece must be
positioned and cut as shown. (Fig. BB)

DEPTH STOP (Fig.CC)
The depthstop allows slots tobe cut inthe
workpiece.The downward travelof the Cutting
Head can be set so that the saw blade does
not completelycut through the workpiece.
The depthstop should be used in conjunction
withthe slidingcarriage.
NOTE: ttisadvisable that the depth of cut set is
checked usinga scrap piece of lumber to ensure
thatthe slotcut is correct.
By making a cut in theworkpiece, and then
repeatingthe cut butwith the workpiece slightly
repositionedto the leftor right,it ispossibleto
increasethe width ofthe slot cut.

Do not position the workpiece incorrectly or cut
the workpiece without the support of the fence.
FREEING JAMMED MATERIAL
Releasethe trigger switch and aJlowthe blade
to come to a complete stop.
Unplugthe machine
Removethe jammed material
Check the operation of the safety guards.
Tousethe Depth Stop:
Deploythe depthstop plate (A).
Loosen the lock nut (B).
Adjustthe depth screw clockwise or
counterclockwiseto limitthe saw blades
downward travel (C).
Once set to the requireddepth, tightenthe lock
nut against the retaining bracketto lockthe
depth stopscrew in place.
When cutting iscomplete, returnthe depth
stop plate (A) to itsoriginalposition.This will
