source outlet before troubleshooting.

Problem Probable Cause What to Do
No display when On/Off
button is pressed.
Battery not installed correctly. Adjust battery position in com-
partment.
Battery contacts dirty. Clean battery contacts.
Battery dead. Replace battery with 6V, size J,
alkaline battery.
Indicator display failure. Contact Sears. Have electronics
checked by qualified technician.
Display shows
Normal display when battery is No action required.
