Rip Lock
The HI) lock locks the carriage in any position
along the length of the arm. If the carriage
can be easily moved by pushing and pulling
on the yoke handle when the rip lock is in the
locked position an adjustment is required.
1. Hold the rip lock in the unlocked position
and with a 7/16 inch wrench tighten the 1/4-
20 hex lock nut 1/4 turn. (Figure 185)

2. With a 3/16 inch hex "L" wrench find the
1/4-20 hex socket cap screw through the hole
in the rear of the arm cover. To tighten turn
the wrench clockwise approximately 1/4 turn.

3. Lock the miter lock and try again to move
the arm. Readjust if necessary.
4. If it becomes extremely difficult to push
the miter lock into the locked position too
much adjustment has been made. Turn the
wrench counterclockwise one half the
amount of the last adjustment and try again
to lock the arm.

2. Lock the rip lock and try again to move the
carriage. Make additional adjustments if
necessary.
3. Place the rip lock in the unlocked position
and move the carriage back and forth from
stop to stop. If the carriage is difficult to
move at any point or you can feel the rip lock
dragging on the track the adjustment is too
tight. Loosen the hex nut one half the
amount of the last adjustment and try again.
