Required Tools:

 4’ or 6’ level

 Utility Knife

 Caulk Gun

Additional Products:

 White Latex (Paintable) Caulk

Prepping Panel Area:

1) Prior to chair rail panel installation, all walls must be wiped clean with a damp cloth to

remove any dust, grease or grime.

2) All chair rail panels are made with a heavy strength adhesive backing for quick and easy

installation. Peel film backing from adhesive tape. It is important that the adhesion side,

once backing has been removed, is not subjected to dust, dirt or debris.

3) Installation is a breeze! Once you have measured for the appropriate spacing based on your

individual needs, simply place the panel on the wall and press firmly for one minute. Once

panel has been placed, apply even pressure around the panel making sure adhesive is firmly

set to wall around the entire panel.

4) Once all panels have been placed and set, apply a bead of paintable caulk around the

outer edge and inner edge for a seamless and elegant look.

SPECIAL NOTES:

• Craftmold panels are intended for indoor use and must be free of water and moisture.

Failure to keep product dry will compromise the product and functionality.

• Adhesive backing, requires a temperature of Application: Above 50 - 150 F

Visual Steps:  Follow visual steps (1) thru (6) for complete process. STEP 1 MARKING LEVEL LINE USE A PENCIL AND A LEVEL TO MARK A LEVEL LINE AROUND ALL WALLS RECEIVING PANELS. A 2'-8" 1. 2. 3. MAKE A LEVEL LINE ACROSS ALL PANEL WALLS. LEVEL LINE SPACING CAN BE FOUND BY TAKING MEASUREMENT (A) ABOVE AND SUBTRACTING 23" (PANEL HEIGHT) AND THEN DIVIDING BY 2. THIS WILL GIVE YOU EQUAL SPACING ABOVE AND BELOW YOUR PANELS. (IE: 32" - 23"= 9", THEN 9" / 2 = 4.

STEP 3 MARKING PANEL AREA USE A LEVEL TO EXTEND (VERTICAL) TRANSFER LINE TO MEET LEVEL-LINE. 1. 2. EXTEND YOUR (VERTICAL) TRANSFER LINES TO MEET LEVEL LINE. BOTH LEVEL AND TRANSFER LINES MUST BE PERFECTLY LEVEL. STEP 4 REMOVE ADHESIVE FILM 1. 2. 3. USE A SHARP OBJECT TO LIFT AN EDGE OF THE FILM TAPE. ONCE AN EDGE IS RELEASED FROM THE ADHESIVE, THE FILM WILL PEEL FROM THE ADHESIVE EASILY. AVOID REMOVING ACTUAL ADHESIVE FROM THE PANEL.

STEP 5 PANEL INSTALLATION ALIGN TOP OF PANEL WITH LEVEL LINE ANGLE PANEL AWAY FROM WALL TO PREVENT ADHESIVE FROM STICKING . 1. SLOWLY LOWER PANEL BACK TOWARD THE WALL MAKING SURE BOTH LEVEL LINE AND TRANSFER LINES ARE IN LINE WITH THE PANEL. STEP 6 PREPARING YOUR PANELS 1. 2. 3. APPLY A BEAD OF CAULK TO THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF EACH PANEL. ALLOW CAULK TO DRY. DRY TIME DIFFERS PER MANUFACTURER. ALWAYS READ AND FOLLOW CAULK MANUFACTURER INSTRUCTIONS FOR DRY TIME AND PAINTING PRACTICES.
