8. USING THE PRINTER
8.1. Installing CraWare
To print a 3D object, The CraBot needs toolpath information generated from 3D object CAD files like .obj or .stl.
Toolpath information is simply called “gcode. CraWare soware converts 3D design files into printing commands
for the CraBot 3D printer. CraWare has been developed by CraUnique with the aim of easing and perfecting the
printing process.
Download the CraWare slicer soware
Open a new browser session on the computer where you’d like to install CraWare.
Go to www.craunique.com/craware.
Scroll down the page.
Select the Windows or MAC/OSX or linux version, according to your operation system.
To select the latest version of CraWare click the CraWare Buon below.
For older versions click the Please click her for all versions.
Download the installer.
Open the installer and follow the directions to install the soware.
8.2. Using CraWare
Once CraWare has been opened up, you will see a virtual build platform. This will represent your CraBot’s real build
plate. Please click on the Options buon , and select your CraBot printer type in the “Printer” page. You can add
objects, .stl, .obj files onto this virtual build plate and get an impression of what the real life print will look like.
