8. USING THE PRINTER
8.1. Installing CraWare
To print a 3D object, The CraBot needs toolpath information generated from 3D object CAD files like .obj or .stl.
Toolpath information is simply called “gcode”. CraWare soware converts 3D design files into printing commands
for the CraBot 3D printer. CraWare has been developed by CraUnique with the aim of easing and perfecting the
printing process.
• Download the CraWare slicer soware
• Open a new browser session on the computer where you’d like to install CraWare.
• Go to www.craunique.com/craware.
• Scroll down the page.
• Select the Windows or MAC/OSX or linux version, according to your operation system.
• To select the latest version of CraWare click the CraWare Buon below.
• For older versions click the Please click her for all versions.
• Download the installer.
• Open the installer and follow the directions to install the soware.
8.2. Using CraWare
Once CraWare has been opened up, you will see a virtual build platform. This will represent your CraBot’s real build
plate. Please click on the Options buon , and select your CraBot printer type in the “Printer” page. You can add
objects, .stl, .obj files onto this virtual build plate and get an impression of what the real life print will look like.
