The PC workstation, also referred to as a fat PC, allows your employees to take advantage of all
of the current and future features of Bankway. A PC workstation can have installed a terminal
emulation program, such as the Terminal Services client or the Citrix ICA client, or can have
Bankway installed locally.
Scanning workstations must have the Bankway Client and Microsoft Office installed locally. One
scanning workstation in each branch must have installed the Bankway Data Server and will be
the server for its respective branch.
Note: Workstations used for capturing images from a scanner or a Web camera cannot
use a terminal services session.
The following information summarizes the Recommended Hardware Configuration for the
installation of Bankway.
Pentium 4 2.0 GHz Processor or higher
256 MB Random Access Memory (RAM)
5 GB free (usable) hard-drive space
1.44 MB Floppy drive
SVGA Monitor (required resolution of 800 x 600 pixels) with 256 color resolution
100 Mbps Ethernet Card
Keyboard
Mouse
Note: Workstations connected to a cash dispenser and teller receipt printer require two
RS-232 serial ports.
The Bankway User Interface Standards are being updated to utilize a 1024 X 768 base
resolution for both Windows and Browser presentations. The Browser presentation has already
been designed to this standard and all changes will comply. The Windows presentation will be
designed to this standard for all new Bankway software enhancements following the February
2007 Release.
Bankway continues to support resizing for various resolutions and can be presented at the
recommended resolution or higher.
