The branch server, located at each branch, is a key component of the overall network
configuration. This server continuously runs the Bankway Data Server service, which
synchronizes the latest software releases, bank standards, and databases with the Bankway
Express Server and the Bankway Host.
In the Novell environment, a branch server is actually a workstation located within each branch.
This workstation runs the Data Server service and can also be used as a Bankway client
workstation. The workstation can be used by branch personnel and does not have to be
dedicated to running Data Server.
