Hand Rail Installation Instructions

1) Determine lower vs upper post.
The lower post will have the 2 holes
higher than the upper post (this
offset allows the middle rail to be
parallel to the top rail and angle of
the stairs).
2) Drop in base plate cover (this will
only be held by gravity)
3) Screw on middle rail brackets.
3a) Lower post should have middle
rail bracket face upward.
3b) Upper post should have middle
rail bracket face downward.
Note: Middle rail brackets are
smaller than post brackets.
Assemble Top Rail
1) Insert side plastic end caps.
2) Screw on post brackets. (It doesn’t matter
which direction as long as they both face
the same direction.)
1) Position onto steps.
2) Insert the middle rail into middle brackets.
3) Put the top rail onto the posts.
4) Mark holes for anchor bolts /lag screws.

Install Anchor Bolt / Lag Screw
Install bolts/screws, position post baseplate
over the bolts/screws, and tighten over
baseplate. (The post baseplate cover will sit
on top of the bolts/screws by gravity)
Anchor Bolts: Used for concrete. Anchor bolt
cannot be pulled out once inserted.
Lag Screws: Used for wooden steps.
Screw in the self-drilling screws into the end of
the middle rail and post through the holes on the
brackets (screws will make the holes
themselves and lock in any loose movements).
Note: Angles cannot be adjusted after this step
without having to make new holes.
