Adding a Virtual Cluster
To add a new virtual cluster, follow these steps:
1. Log into the Equalizer Administration Interface in edit mode.
2. Select Add > Virtual Cluster from the main menu bar. The add cluster screen appears in the
right frame (see Figure 38). Another way to display this screen is to view the Equalizer status
and select Add Virtual Cluster from the local menu.

3. Enter the cluster name, which is the logical name for the cluster, or accept Equalizer’s default.
Each cluster must have a unique name that begins with an alphabetical character (for example,
CPImages).
4. Select one of the following protocol types for the cluster:
