understands, hazards common to the operation of any
transceiver.
PRECAUTIONS
• Donotchargethetransceiverandbatterypackwhentheyarewet.
• Ensurethattherearenometallicitemslocatedbetweenthe
transceiverandthebatterypack.
• DonotuseoptionsnotspeciedbyKENWOOD.
• Ifanytransceiverpartisdamaged,donottouchthedamaged
parts.
• Ifaheadsetorheadphoneisconnectedtothetransceiver,reduce
the transceiver volume. Pay attention to the volume level when
turningthesquelchoff.
• Donotplacethecableoftheclipmicrophonewithearphone/
hangeraroundyourneckwhilenearmachinerythatmaycatchthe
cable.
• Donotplacethetransceiveronunstablesurfaces.Ifthetransceiver
switches OFF/ON as a result of falling or hard impact, the volume
and channel configurations may reset.
• Ensurethattheendoftheantennadoesnottouchyoureyes.
• Donotimmersethetransceiverinwater.
• Alwaysswitchthetransceiverpoweroffbeforeinstallingoptional
accessories.
• ThechargeristhedevicethatdisconnectstheunitfromtheAC
mains line. The AC plug should be readily accessible.
