Next Generation GPS Microphone for Portable Radios

The AMPS-GPS speaker mic with GPS location reporting for portable

radios operates as a normal remote speaker microphone attached

to a two-way radio but also contains a GPS receiver and FSK modem.

It sends data reports over the voice radio channel which allow the

dispatch operator to know the current location of each AMPS-GPS unit.

Because AMPS-GPS integrates into your existing voice radio system,

there is no requirement for additional radio channels/licensing and

there is NO MONTHLY FEE to deliver no-hassle REAL TIME GPS

TRACKING. The unit works with both conventional and trunked analog

radio systems (may not work with digital radio systems).

FEATURES:

Functions as both remote speaker microphone and GPS location device.

Works with most 2-way radio: conventional or trunked. Track radio operators.

Integrates into existing non-compressed voice radio system; does not require

separate data channel.

Location reports are sent as short audible data bursts.

GPS-enabled mic is capable of reporting location of user based on different criteria:

Polling: Reports location of GPS mic when dispatch requests.

Push-To-Talk: Reports location whenever user presses PTT key to talk.

Elapsed Time: Automatically sends location report after programmed

time.

Relative Distance: Sends location report upon movement to pre-

determined distance from last reported location.

Fixed Distance (Geofence): Sends location report/alert whenever a user

moves outside programmed perimeter.

Mute function turns the internal speaker off while data reports from other GPS mics

are received, reducing the amount of data heard by voice users.

Base-enabled feature allows GPS mics to view location reports graphically when

connected to PC running mapping software.

Professional quality, water resistant construction for heavy use and long life.

Same data format as Kenwood GPS mics. Can be used with any mapping or tracking

software system supporting Kenwood GPS mics.
