4 Presence and Instant Messaging

With Presence and M essaging, you c an share your o nline status (pre sence) and exch ange instant messages with

the contacts who have a softphone nu mber or an XMPP address. You can also send an SMS from a SIP account

to PSTN mobile phone numbers if your VoIP service provider supports this feature.

Presence and Messaging is available as an in-app purchase. Make sure your VoIP service provider supports SIP

SIMPLE before purchasing this option if you plan to use this feature over SIP SIMPLE. To purchase this option

and set up your Bria, see page 7.
