MAC Address: A Media Access Control address (MAC address) is a unique identifier assigned to
network interfaces for communications on the physical network segment, MAC Address is read
only.
Host Name: A hostname is a label that is assigned to a device connected to a computer network
and that is used to identify the device in various forms of electronic communication such as the
World Wide Web, e-mail or Usenet.
Enable DHCP: Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)assigns dynamic IP addresses to
devices on the network. This protocol simplifies network management and allows new wireless
devices to receive IP addresses automatically without the need to manually assign new IP
address. Select Enable to allow the SD2000 to connect DHCP server.
IP Address: An Internet Protocol address (IP address) is a numerical label assigned to each
device (e.g., computer, printer) participating in a computer network that uses the Internet
Protocol for communication.
Gateway: Enter the IP address of the gateway on the network.
Subnet Mask: All devices in the network must have the same subnet mask to communicate.

Primary DNS/ Secondary DNS: The Domain Name System (DNS) is a hierarchical distributed
naming system for computers, services, or any resource connected to the Internet or a private
network.
4 SNMP Support
4.1 SNMP is used to monitor and manage devices on networks.
4.2 Ethernet Module on SD-2000 spupprts SNMPV2C version.
4.3 SD-2000/3000 comes with so-called MIB files that describe the parameters and readings which
are available for monitoring via SNMP.
