13 - MAINTENANCE
13.10 - 3-way valve
removal (only for
45WN and 45WE
models)
The 3-way valve, detail “F” in figure 51,
directs hot water produced by the
primary heat exchanger to the heating
circuit or to the secondary heat
exchanger for the production of d.h.w.
To replace it follow the steps below
while referring to figures 50, 51 and 52:
follow the steps in section 13.11 to
isolate and drain the water from the
boiler;
follow the steps in section 13.2 or
13.3, to gain access the internal
components;
disconnect fittings “A” and “B”;
remove screw “C”;
remove spring “E” and by-pass pipe
“D” by moving it towards the back of
the boiler;
remove the forked spring clip “G”;
remove the 3-way valve servomotor
“H”;
unscrew tubing nut “I”;
remove screw “L”;
remove the 3-way valve body, “F”,
taking care not to loose the o-rings,
“M”, figure 52;
during reassembly, take care to
properly position the o rings, “M”,
figure 52;
