Replace child restraint pad by reversing order; Starting from

bottom of child restraint, slip pad on plastic shell; pull harness

tightening strap and each harness strap through pad. Wrap

pad around the top of shell. Pull pad around each cup holder

and slip pad over the sides of the restraints.

Rethread harness (see section C-6).

Install Buckle

Fit the buckle’s metal

retainer through the slot

in the child restraint. Red

button must face out.

Pull buckle’s metal retainer

completely through pad

and shell from bottom

of seat.

Check Buckle

Pull up on buckle to make

sure it is secured. The

buckle must not pull

out.

Do not use child restraint without the pad.

Thread Harness’s

Metal Retainer Into

Shell

Push the harness’s metal

retaining into the lower

harness slot making

sure it goes completely

through the pad and shell.

Lock Harness’s Metal

Retainer

Rotate the shell over to

expose the bottom of shell.

Pull on the harness straps

to lock the metal retainer

into place.
