6. EstablishaconnectiontotheVEXMicrocontrollerbygoingtotheRobotmenuandselectingDebugger.
Note: TheIFILoadersoftwareand
otherVEXprogrammingsolutions
alsoestablishconnectionswiththe
VEXMicrocontroller.Ifanyofthe
othersoftwareprogramsareopen,
closethemtoensurethatROBOTC
willbeabletoconnecttotherobot.
8. TheSystem Parametersdebugwindowwillappearasitsownwindow,ordockedasatabwithinthe
ROBOTCinterface.
ThermwareVersionparameterreferstotheROBOTCuserrmwareandshouldbeatleast7.31.
ThenVEXMasterVersionparameterreferstotheVEXmasterrmwareandshouldbeatleast10.
7. Onceaconnectionisestablished,theProgram Debugwindowwillappear,alongwithanyofthe
otheroptionalROBOTCdebugwindows.OpentheSystem Parameters debugwindowbygoingto
Robot>Debug WindowsandselectingSystem Parameters.
Note: Ifeitherrmwareisoutofdate,theycan
bedownloadedusingROBOTCbygoingtothe
RobotmenuandselectingDownload Firmware
fortheROBOTCrmware,orDownload IFI
Master Firmwareforthemasterrmware.
Ifyoudownloadthemasterrmware,you
mustalsodownloadtheROBOTCrmware.
Afterdownloadingrmware,youmustalsore-
downloadtheuserprogramtotheVEXPIC.
