Because the Cortex units use streaming technology to manipulate more than one music file from one device simultaneously, hard drives and hard-drive based units need to be defragmented regularly to ensure the integrity of the streamed files.

HDTT-5000 Operation Manual Preparing for Use/Master Slave opperation STEP ONE Connect the Power Cord to the power outlet., found on the rear of the unit. MSD IN 3 STEP TWO Connect the RCA audio outputs of the unit to a suitable audio mixer.
