8. YoucanalsolinkasharedparkingplacetoaBLFbutton.Thisallowsuserstoeasilyparkor
unparkcallsby clickingtheassignedBLF button.Speeddialsand customspeeddialsare
alsosupported.
9. Click“OK”tosave.Theprovisioningfileswillnowbecreatedintheprovisioningdirectory.
Eachtimeyoumakeachangetotheextension,thesefileswillberecreated.
Step2–ConfigurethePhonetoRetrievetheConfigurationFile
Nowyouneedtoinstructthephonetodownloaditsconfigurationfromtheprovisioningdirectoryon
the3CXPhoneSystemserver.Thisisdoneinoneoftwoways:
● Via the Phone’s Web Interface Enter the provisioning URL via the phone’s web
configuration.Thisisaonetimeoperation.(Recommendedforsmallernetworks)
● UsingOption66inyourDHCPServerWiththisoption,thephonewillobtaintheURLwhen
it boots up and receives its IP from the DHCP server. This is recommended for larger
networksasitmakesiteasytochangetheprovisioningURLlater.Tousethisoption,you
needtoconfigureyourDHCPserveraccordinglyseeourguideonHowtoAutoProvisionIP
PhoneswiththeDHCP“Option66”
