The procedure to initiate a request in non-selective polling mode is:
• Configure a POLLING_ROUTE table containing the addresses of all the modules to be queried
(Launch a request to modify internal parameters)
• Launch a request in polling mode
Principle of selective polling
Only the modules belonging to the queried group are synchronized with the transmitter. A particular module
will respond to a selective polling request if:
• It belongs to the queried group
• Its radio address is contained in the list of queried modules (POLLING_ROUTE)
Since it doesn't use long WakeUp, synchronization speeds up module response and optimizes consumption.
When querying a Wavetherm module in polling mode, the time it takes to
read a temperature may be much longer than the default POLLING_TIME
value. In that case, the parameter should be increased accordingly.
• DALLAS probe: readings take around 800ms per probe
• PT100, PT1000 probe: reading time depends on the precision index
(max. 3 seconds)
