Mobile Collector.
Po we r- up Pro c e dure
Because of t he am ount of current that will be drawn, t he
vehicle’s engine m ust be running before power is applied
to eit her t he not ebook PC or t he Mobile Collect or. The
not ebook’s AC/ DC power supply is powered t hrough a DC-
t o- AC pow er invert er, which is plugged into an auxiliary
12V DC vehicle out let.
These steps should be followed for power- up:
1. St art t he vehicle’s engine.
2. Plug in the DC-t o- AC power invert er to one of t he
vehicle’s 12V, 20A, accessory outlet s.
3. Connect t he AC-t o- DC not ebook power supply to
the not ebook PC.
4. Connect t he AC plug of t he AC- t o- DC not ebook
power supply t o an AC j ack on t he DC-t o- AC
invert er.
5. Connect t he 12V DC cable from the Mobile
Collector to t he ot her 12V, 20A, vehicle accessory
j ack.
6. Use t he slide swit ch on the front right edge of t he
not ebook PC t o t urn it on.
7. Use t he rocker power swit ch on t he Mobile
Collect or t o turn it on.

The GPS unit provides longit ude and latit ude location
inform at ion t o t he evoDriv e syst em . I t is linked t o t he
not ebook PC via Bluet oot h radio.
For t he not ebook t o recognize t he GPS unit , t he GPS
Bluet ooth driver m ust be installed on t he notebook PC and
act ivat ed as follows:
1. Power up t he notebook PC. Wait for it to fully boot
before proceeding.
2. Press t he power button on t he GPS unit to power it
on - a blue LED will illum inate and flash.
3. Go to t he St art m enu on the notebook and go t o
Program s, Bluetooth t hen Bluet ooth Set tings as
illustrated in Figure 4.
