Fail‐safesetting:
There are two ways to set the Failsafe setting on theCORONA 2.4GHz Spread Spectrum FASST Compatible
Receiver;
1. TX‐failsafe feature: This method sets the failsafe on the FASST transmitter and has priority (works on
channel 3 only under FASST 7ch modeor on multiple‐channels
under FASST multi‐channel mode) while
thereceiverison,justlikeFUTABAreceivers(onlyavailableonFASSTairsystem).
2. RX‐failsafefeature:TurnontheFASSTtransmitterandthenturnontheCORONA2.4GHzSpreadSpectrum
Receiver,putallthesticksandswitchestocontrolinputsyou
wantifthereceiverloosessignalandPress
the F/S button downfor about5‐6 seconds while theGreen LED lights solid (Rx in normal operation),
thenreleasethe button.Youwillsee theRedLED will flashfor about 4‐5seconds. (Note:The Red LED
will FLASH high
speed to indicate the RX‐failsafe is turned on OR FLASH low speed to indicate the
RX‐failsafe is turned off). If you press the F/S button a second time while the Red LED is flashing, the
receiverwillchangeitsRX‐failsafestatus(on/off),thentheLED
willreturntoGreensolidagain.Ifyounot
presstheF/Sbutton,nothingwillbechangedandtheLEDwillreturntosolidGreen.Ifyouwanttocancel
the RX‐failsafe feature (not just turn it off), you can do so by binding the receiver again. After binding
operation
thereceiverwillbebacktofactorysettingswithoutanyfailsafefeature.
Note: If you do not set a failsafe setting, the receiver will hold all controls at the position of the last command
receivedbeforesignalwaslost.WhenRX‐failsafeisturnedon,thereceiverwillinitiatethe
RX‐failsafesettingsafter
loosingsignalforover1secondandthereceiverwillholdthelastreceivedpositionsuntilthefailsafetakesover.
WhentheRX‐failsafeandTX‐failsafefeaturearebothturnedon,thereceiverwillusetheTX‐failsafecommand.
We highly recommend you set failsafe feature
before flying your models. An example of a minimal useful,
failsafesettingwouldbetoshutdownthemodel’sthrottle,sothatitdoesnotflyordriveaw ayuncontr olled.
Outputmodesetting(onlyavailableonFASSTairsystem):
Turnoffthetransmitter,connectthebatterytothereceiver,you
willseetheRedLEDlightflashing.TheREDLED
flashesathighspeedtoindicatethereceiverisinthespecialoutputmodeORaLowspeedindicatesthereceiver
isunder(LS)lowspeedPPMnormaloutputmode,presstheF/Sbuttonfor5‐6secondswhiletheGreen
LEDisoff
(Rxinsignalsearchingstatus),thenrelease thebutton.Youwillsee theGreenLEDflashforabout4‐5seconds.
(Note:TheGreenLEDwillFLASHhighspeedunderspecialmodeORFLASHlowspeedundernormaloutputmode).
IfyoupresstheF/Sbuttona
secondtimewhiletheGreenLEDisflashing,thereceiverwillchangeitsoutputmode
status(special/normal), ifyoudonotpresstheF/SbuttontheoutputmodewillnotbechangedandtheRedLED
willflashatitsoriginalspeed.
